COST OF CONSTRUCTION

You will find that initial costs are less than a conventional wood frame building. The savings over the life of the structure due to increased insulation are significant.

EPS is readily available at about $3 per cubic foot. Costs will vary. See epsmolders.org for locations.

24 gauge galvanized sheet metal costs about 50 cents a square foot and can be cut to any length.

Interior finish [Foam Coat FC-90] costs 30 cents per square foot.

The costs for tensioning hardware are job specific. They range from $500 to $2000 per medium size project.

THERMOSHELTER can be tied to any foundation or construction type. It can also be anchored into the ground.

End wall and window/skylight choices also affect shell costs.

A THERMOSHELTER weighs approximately 80% less than a conventional building. It has many applications, from second story additions to mining camp shelters, to those shown here.

We can provide design and construction supervision services or discuss nominal licensing fees.

For example, the THERMOSHELTER components of the 24 by 40 classroom cost from $8000 to $10,000 [including rigid insulation, sheet metal, tensioning hardware and interior plaster].

We are looking for a school district to build a modular classroom and are willing to waive all fees for the opportunity to get into this market.
